Live representation, by the residents of the town, of various scenes from the Auto Sacramental of the Three Wise Men.
It is a tradition that began in the first half of the 20th century and that takes place on January 5 at approximately 10 pm.
The children and young people of the town represent pages, kings, shepherds, counselors and little angels, forming a procession guided by a star (which is carried by the best donkey in the town) as tradition tells. The Three Wise Men ride on the back of mules decorated for such a special occasion.
The first act takes place in Plaza Veracruz (if it rains, the entire performance takes place inside the church). The arrival of José and María to Bethlehem is represented looking for an inn.
In the second act, the Magi meet and begin to talk about the stars and what each one says, showing great uproar when they find the omen of the birth of the Son of God. The place where it is staged is the entrance to the Banu Rabbah Hotel.
In the third act, next to a large bonfire, are the Kings and a group of little shepherds. They tell them wonders about the child God, the gifts they gave him and where he is.
The fourth act interprets the visits of the Kings of the East to the King of Israel, Herod, to ask him about the place where the Messiah is to be born.
The fifth act represents the desired meeting where each Wise Man adores the child and, as proof of his devotion, each one brings him a gift. Each of these acts is represented in a different area of the town to where the Kings travel on their mounts and are accompanied by spectators singing Christmas carols. Finally, gifts are delivered in the Church. Date: January 5
