🌿 PR-A 397 · Benarrabá Mountains Trail 🌿
This route allows you to discover almost all of the public woodlands of Benarrabá, south of the town center. The trail crosses a magnificent cork oak forest interspersed with gall oaks, a perfectly preserved natural environment.
The path winds between slate hills with a sawtooth profile, reflecting the rugged terrain. Along the way, you'll have to cross key features such as the Veguetas and Covatillas streams, as well as ascend to high points like Loma del Coto and Cerro de la Corchuela.
The contrast between sunny and shady slopes defines the character of the woodland: rockrose thickets on one side, heathland on the other. And it is in the valley bottoms where nature displays its greatest splendor, with gall oak forests, broadleaf undergrowth, a great diversity of ferns, and Mediterranean species with very limited distribution.
