RUTA BENARRABÁ - GENALGUACIL

This is a trail with steep slopes both up and down. It runs along the Arroyo del Infernillo basin to the Genal River. In this section, the dominant vegetation is cork oaks and gall oaks, which blend with the riverside vegetation in the lower part.

From the Genal River, in the well-known Prado de la Escribana, the trail coincides with the Gran Senda de Málaga, GR 249, which heads towards Genalguacil. The path climbs continuously between cork oaks from where you can see the sharp peaks of Sierra Bermeja and a little further south the unmistakable Sierra Crestellina.

In its last part, it passes between small orchards mixed with patches of Mediterranean forest. The end of the route is at the Genalguacil sports courts.
